The camera takes two photo’s one as you enter (above the speed limit) and the second an known time after (UK town roads 30mph limit .5 of a second) the white marks on the road are at a known distance apart so working out how fast you were going is is easy (distance/time=speed) the camera has a fixed view and focal length …. the distance between the first line and the last
